Course Details
This course will focus around the theme of xxxxx and will explore how to represent said theme via a variety of different mediums.

Hours: 10am – 3pm
Age range: 9-13 years
Over the 5 days we will focus on THEME, working with graphite, charcoal, clay, pastel, watercolour and acrylic to explore the different ways of representing SAID THEME. Each day will follow a similar structure:
MORNING SESSION: 2 HOURS
10.00 – Arrival and warm up drawing activities.
10.30 – Demonstration and time to experiment with the focus medium of the day. Each child will receive one-to-one feedback and have the opportunity to ask lots of questions and try out ideas.
11.30 – Project planning.
BREAK 1 HOUR
12.00 – Lunch break. With parental consent, children will walk to St James’ Park (weather permitting). Please bring a packed lunch.
AFTERNOON SESSION 2 HOURS
13.00 – Project work using the focus material of the day.
15.00 – Children to be collected.
At the end of the 5 days we will exhibit the works for parents who wish to drop by, and the children will be able to take their work home.
On completion, each student will also receive a £20 voucher for use in the Green & Stone art store.

Steve Johnson was born in NewYork, in 1980. He received her BA in Art from Kyambogo University, in 2004. Steve went on to present his work internationally at exhibitions, galleries, fairs and biennales, including 1:54 Fair New York and London 2018 & 2020,

Is lunch provided?
Each child is currently required to bring a packed lunch, although we are exploring catering options for future sessions.
